Chris Brown and Rihanna saga: PLEASE GO AWAY ALREADY!

Looking at the picture above you're probably thinking one of two things: 1. Both Chris and Rihanna have similar mohawks (at completely different stages) OR 2. Go AWAY already!

In the news yesterday they talked about Rihanna testifying against Chris for the beating that occurred the night before the Grammy's. I personally want this story to go away.

The media has sensationalized Chris and Rihanna's story to the point where little girls think it's ok for a guy to beat them, and Chris to feel comfortable enough to come out and denounce him being a monster! WHO CARES!

Here is my personal view of the entire deal. Rihanna and Chris made a beautiful couple, no doubt. Both were/are young. Both are rich and successful. Both don't need each other. But then Chris and her were chillin and at the end of it all (who really cares about the in between) HE BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HER! NOW, there were rumors about a duet and a book denouncing physical aggression towards women! Hmm, wonder who the publicist for CB was at the time (You're fired!). Then there were rumors that Chris slept with his manager! I mean, c'mon! GO AWAY ALREADY!

We wish Rihanna the best!!! If Chris does get any time I'm sure BET will create a "Countdown to Lockdown" show for Chris too. Lord, it will never end.

Jay Z: Death of Autotune

When Jay Z speaks, everyone in the world listens. Last week I was thumbing through my twitter and almost instantly Jay Z jumped to the top of the trending topics. Now, usually something crazy happens like the Swine Flu or my boy Ray and his "men hating" topics get up there quick! I was hoping that Beyonce wasn't pregnant or that they split because ya'll know I pray nothing but the best for my blood sister Beyonce (side eye). Now anyways, Jay Z released a song titled, "Death of Autotune" and this ridiculous track slays all artists who use it, and without effort.

I was in a debate with @chasencashe and another producer over whether the Jay would be as iconic as he has become if B.I.G. or Tupac were still alive. While that's a hard question to answer, one thing is definitely clear, if Jay Z says it's hot, it's hot. If he says it's not, it's not. If autotune goes away what will Weezy, T-Pain, and my boy Drake do?! Hmm, I guess we'll just wait to see!

Nas and Kelis: The final chapter

Nas and Kelis

In 2007 I met Nas at one of the most memorable concerts of my life, KMEL Summer Jam. Nas was already somewhat known and had his hit, "If I ruled the world" with the incredibly talent Lauryn Hill rocking the charts. I knew then he would be a superstar and rap super talent.

When Nas and Kelis married I became interested in their life and love. They were a very sexy couple. Of course they weren't as sexy together as Beyonce and Jay Z, but they definitely gave other hip hop couples a run for their money.

The old saying, "everything comes to an end" is true, Nas and Kelis have filed for divorce. Below are court papers filed by Kelis (Petitioner)seeks to keep her "separate property." She better be smart and call Mel Gibson's wife! If you read down, it says that Kelis is expecting a baby on July 21, 2009!

I'm excited for both of them and wish them the best.

What's HOT: Ace of Spades Champagne

Photobucket

Armand de Brignac (also known as "Ace of Spades" or "Gold Bottles"), the high-end champagne featured in Jay-Z's new video for "Show Me What You Got," is making its debut in the U.S. this year. Armand, manufactured in France, is being imported into North America for distribution by the Manhattan-based company of the same name.

"We're delighted to have someone of Jay-Z's stature include Armand de Brignac in the first video for his new album," said Brett Berish in a press statement. "Jay-Z has always demonstrated the highest standards and finest taste, and we're honored to see Armand make an appearance in "Show Me What You Got." Armand's unmatched taste and package are a perfect fit for the video."

The video reaffirms Jay-Z's decision to boycott Louis Rodere Cristal brand of champagne back in June, following some disparaging comments by Cristal boss Frédéric Rouzaud. In the video for "Show Me What You Got," Jay-Z is offered a bottle of Cristal, a brand he had endorsed on previous songs and videos. Jay motions for the bottle to be sent back, and a waiter returns with a silver briefcase. It's opened to reveal the Armand de Brignac gold bottle. GANGSTA
